UOIT students make connections at Career and Education Fair
October 17, 2011
Hundreds of enthusiastic UOIT students enjoyed a glimpse into their personal futures as they packed the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre for the Student Experience Centre’s (SEC) annual Career and Education Fair. Students were able to meet and greet leaders and representatives from nearly 60 different potential employers and postgraduate study destinations during the full-day event.
“We are delighted by the turnout of UOIT students at this valuable networking opportunity, and so were the companies taking part,” said Monica Aggarwal, manager, Career Services, SEC. “The Fair provides a forum for students to meet face-to-face with various organizational representatives and explore career, further education and professional membership options. It is never too early for our students to be gaining a broader understanding of their chosen fields.”
Numerous universities were also on hand to talk to those students pondering graduate school after completing their programs at UOIT.
The Career and Education Fair is a full-campus event that welcomes students from both UOIT and Durham College. The Fair is a joint endeavour that is supported by UOIT’s SEC in conjunction with the department of Career Services at Durham College.
