Higher education took centre stage at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre as the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) played host to its first-ever Further Education Expo.

Students from both UOIT and Durham College attended the Expo to explore a wide range of opportunities for further education and to get their questions answered by the many exhibitors in attendance. Student participants were also invited to attend a panel session about the process of applying for further education and learn from students and administrators who have experience in navigating this transition.

"In speaking with students over the past year, many of them expressed an interest in having the opportunity to attend an event solely dedicated to the exploration of further education, said Darren Grant, employment advisor, Career Services, Student Experience Centre. "We were thrilled to take this feedback and create a new event for the fall of 2012 that provided students with a timely and relevant opportunity to explore and also apply for programs."

Students who were not able to attend this year's Further Education Expo can use the online guidebook to follow-up with exhibitors to discuss opportunities available through their specific organizations. Visit the Student Experience Centre website to learn more about the support available on campus for students interested in exploring further education.
