A recent Capstone project by students in the Faculty of Business and Information Technology (FBIT) was recently featured in Durham Works, a publication by the Region of Durham).

The students’ waste management game Sort ’em Up was developed as part of a Capstone project during the 2011-2012 academic year for the Durham Region Waste Management Department (original UOIT news story from March 2012). Sort ‘em Up is an educational game targeted at children between the ages of 8 and 12 to teach proper waste management and sorting skills for items commonly found in the home. The game can be played on the Durham Region website.
