Matching funds available through the end of 2014
September 27, 2013
As part of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology’s (UOIT) commitment to helping students achieve their greatest potential, the university’s Board of Governors has announced a new incentive for donations to the Student Success Fund (SSF). Under the plan, UOIT will match up to $1 million in new gifts to the SSF through the end of 2014.
“Our generous donors share a passion for the University of Ontario Institute of Technology’s ongoing success, so this is an exciting new way our friends and supporters can invest in the university’s discovery and application of knowledge,” said UOIT President Tim McTiernan. “The Student Success Fund gives the university the ability to provide new needs-based bursaries and merit-based academic scholarships. The fund also offers funding for enterprising students’ academic activities when travelling to attend and present at conferences in Canada and abroad.”
All expendable gifts valued at $5,000 or more and received by December 31, 2014 will be eligible for the matching funds.
