Dr. Brian Cutler, Professor and Associate Dean, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, was recently interviewed by the Washington Post for a story about the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson, Missouri.

In the article, entitled Experts: Conflicting eyewitness accounts aren’t surprising, he noted that the faster and the more stressful an event, the more difficult it is for people to remember it. This is one of the reasons eyewitnesses often give conflicting accounts after experiencing a chaotic crime scene.

He was also interviewed on the same topic by Fox News Chicago on November 25.
