A celestial treat awaits those who watch the moon rise tonight (Monday, November 14). Observers will get to see the moon like it hasn’t been since 1948.

Known as a ‘super-moon’, the moon will appear significantly brighter and larger than a normal full moon. The moon is making its closest approach to Earth in 68 years. It won’t be this close again until 2034.
