Ontario Tech to celebrate future leaders and changemakers at Fall Convocation
Lorraine Sunstrum-Mann will receive honorary doctorate, recognizing her exceptional leadership and public service
October 15, 2025

Ontario Tech University will proudly celebrate the achievements, resilience and growth of its newest alumni during Fall Convocation on Thursday, October 16.
Friends, families and members of the campus community will gather at the university’s Regent Theatre in downtown Oshawa to celebrate this milestone occasion. Graduates from bachelor’s, master’s and PhD programs will proudly join Ontario Tech’s growing alumni family, now nearing 34,000 members.
For Ontario Tech’s newest graduates, Convocation marks both a celebration and a turning point; a moment to reflect on their journey and look ahead to what comes next. It is also a time when the university recognizes outstanding innovators, advocates, entrepreneurs and leaders who exemplify Ontario Tech’s commitment to progress, purpose and public service.
The university will also confer an honorary doctorate degree upon Ms. Lorraine Sunstrum-Mann, former Chief Executive Officer of Grandview Kids, in recognition of her inclusive, compassionate and visionary leadership, and her unwavering commitment to family-centred care, professional excellence and meaningful improvements to care systems.
The full Convocation ceremony schedule and additional details are available on the Ontario Tech Convocation website.
- All ceremonies will be streamed live on the Convocation ceremonies live feeds website.
