UOIT set to get in motion for Eastview Boys and Girls Club

University helping to support local youth through charity walk and run

OSHAWA, Ont. - Staff, faculty and students at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), including President Dr. Ronald Bordessa, are lacing up their shoes for the first annual UOIT 5km Charity Walk and Run for the Eastview Boys and Girls Club on Wednesday, April 11.

For a $20 entry fee, participants will walk or run an enjoyable two-loop course around the campus in support of the club and its special role in the community.

More than 1,100 members strong, the Eastview Boys and Girls Club provides a safe and supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life. The Oshawa-based club is celebrating four decades of service this year.

Enter off of Simcoe Street North and proceed to the Founders 3 parking lot.
