PACE to announce largest ever in-kind donation to UOIT

UOIT only the sixth Canadian university to become a PACE institution

OSHAWA, Ont. - Representatives from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) will welcome officials from the Partners for the Advancement of Collaborative Engineering Education (PACE) to the university's Oshawa campus next week to announce details about UOIT becoming a PACE institution. The announcement will include specific details of the partnership, including one of the largest ever in-kind contributions to a Canadian university.

PACE links its business partners - General Motors, EDS, HP, Siemens and Sun Microsystems - with leading academic institutions worldwide to prepare future engineers, designers and analysts to play key roles in the automotive product lifecycle management team of the future.

UOIT continues to attract the interest and support of leading corporations and organizations and is only the sixth Canadian university to become a PACE institution. The PACE partnership will significantly advance UOIT's reputation for providing students with the state-of-the-art equipment, technology and exceptional learning environment required to produce Canada's next-generation automotive industry leaders.
