UOIT to recognize the Regional Municipality of Durham for generous contribution

Ceremony to commemorate ongoing partnership

OSHAWA, ON. - Representatives from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) will welcome officials from the Regional Municipality of Durham to the university's campus next week to recognize the Region's continued support.

UOIT will unveil a plaque to recognize the Region's ongoing support, which includes a $10-million commitment that has played a significant role in helping the university provide students with a leading-edge learning environment.

UOIT's strong partnerships with community leaders such as the Region of Durham open doors to challenging and rewarding careers for students. The Regional Municipality of Durham's financial support allows for the continued development of UOIT's innovative programs to meet the needs of today's knowledge-based economy.
