Local unions to make significant donations to UOIT

Electrical Workers and Plumbers, Steamfitters, Welders and Apprentices will make announcement on October 1

OSHAWA, ON. - Representatives from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 894 and United Association Local 463 Plumbers, Steamfitters, Welders and Apprentices will be at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) next week to announce they are each making a significant donation to the university.

Specific details of the donation will be shared at the event.

Dr. Ronald Bordessa, president, UOIT;
Garth Cochrane, business manager, United Association Local 463 Plumbers, Steamfitters, Welders and Apprentices; and
John Gillett, business manager and financial secretary, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 894.
