The AYJGlobal English for Academic Purposes program

UOIT is pleased to announce that it has established a partnership with the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) training company, AYJGlobal, to provide opportunities for students in Asia to study English in preparation for entrance into undergraduate programs at UOIT. Some of the teachers at the EAP schools will be graduates of UOIT’s Bachelor of Education program.

UOIT in collaboration, AYJGlobal offers an exemplary EAP program following the Ontario curriculum guidelines and expectations. AYJGlobal teachers are certified with Ontario Teachers Qualifications, are members in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, and have additional qualifications in English as a Second Language training.

The AYJGlobal EAP program focuses on developing and expanding skill levels of students to increase their confidence and adaptability to meet the requirements of studying overseas in an English speaking environment. In a technology-enriched learning environment, students participate in high level critical-thinking skills activities, oral presentations, and peer collaborations. 

Upon successful completion of the EAP program, students may proceed directly into undergraduate programs at UOIT. No other test such as TOEFL or IELTS will be required to prove their English proficiency for admission purposes.
