TV ad filming at north Oshawa campus location to affect traffic, buildings and parking July 6 and 7

Please note: Television ad filming at north Oshawa campus location will affect traffic, access to buildings and parking on Wednesday, July 6 and Thursday, July 7.

What is affected?

• Vehicle and pedestrian traffic along Founders Drive between Conlin Road and Avenue of Champions
• Founders Lot 2 (formerly Founders Lot 2/3), west end of the parking lot, and five rows directly north of the U6 Building
• Main entrance to ACE
• Entrance to the OPG Engineering Building from the ACE lobby
• OPG Engineering Building hallway (west end)
• ACE elevator
• Driveway to the Clean Energy Research Laboratory (CERL)

What do I need to do?

• Avoid using Founders Drive (between Conlin Road and Avenue of Champions) if possible. Use alternative campus entrances to avoid delays.
• If using Founders Lot 2, park only in the east end of the lot after 11 p.m. on July 6 and all day July 7.
• If you need to be in the OPG Engineering Building, use the east entrance (from Avenue of Champions) and the stairs and elevator closest to this entrance.
• If you need to be in ACE, enter via the OPG Engineering Building.
• CERL employees can access the CERL driveway on Thursday, but may experience delays.

Other details:

• Loud noises may occur intermittently Thursday, July 7 between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. during filming. A helicopter will be flying over ACE to take aerial footage.
• Local emergency services are aware of this television commercial filming project.
• Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) officers will be on site to redirect traffic during the filming. DRPS cars will be situated at each end of Founders Drive with their lights flashing.
