UOIT Ridgeback and FESNS student Jill Morillo featured on Sportsnet

University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) Ridgebacks hockey player Jill Morillo will appear in a special Sportsnet feature Friday, March 14 as part of the station’s coverage of the 2014 ScotiaBank Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) Women’s Hockey National Championship.

Twenty-two-year-old Morillo, a right winger and captain of the UOIT women’s hockey team, is a fifth-year Nuclear Engineering and Management student in the Faculty of Energy Systems and Nuclear Science (FESNS). The Sportsnet segment profiles Morillo as an inspiring role model for younger women who are pursuing the unconventional, both in their studies and in sport.

The championship event will take place from Thursday, March 13 to Sunday, March 16 at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
