OSHAWA, ONTARIO – Could you be among the next generation of Canadian Olympians?

On Sunday, February 23, Ontario Tech University will be a host venue for RBC Training Ground, a talent identification and athlete funding program to discover young athletes with Olympic potential. The free event is open to anyone aged 14 to 25, including high school students, post-secondary students, or recreational athletes.

Evaluations for speed, strength, power and endurance will take place in the gymnasiums of the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.

RBC Training Ground has introduced aspiring athletes to new sports they may have never considered, opening doors to unexpected opportunities in their athletic journey. Through the evaluations, National Sports Organizations will identify athletes who could excel in such sports as Biathlon, Bobsleigh, Canoe-Kayak, Climbing, Cycling, Field Hockey, Flag Football, Freestyle Skiing, Luge, Rowing, Rugby, Ski Jumping, Speedskating, Volleyball and Wrestling.
