As of this evening, Tuesday, October 30, the broken water main impacting the water supply at the Durham College and UOIT joint campus at the north Oshawa location has been fixed and the water supply restored to campus.

Please be advised that UOIT is monitoring the progress of the anticipated storm. The university will remain open and all operations will continue as usual.

UOIT’s Strategic Mandate Agreement emphasizes commitment to outcomes-based learning

In response to the Province of Ontario’s directive to the post-secondary sector to submit a Strategic Mandate Agreement (SMA) proposal, UOIT will focus on promoting student success, providing greater access through multiple pathways to degree completion, achieving efficiencies, and cultivating innovation and quality in areas of teaching and research.

UOIT researchers awarded CFI funding for materials characterization

The Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), through the Leaders Opportunity Fund, has awarded UOIT $49,672 towards the acquisition of an X-Ray Diffractometer to support research led by Dr. Matthew Kaye, assistant professor, Faculty of Energy Systems and Nuclear Science.

UOIT appoints Daniel Hoornweg as new research chair

The University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) is pleased to announce that Daniel Hoornweg has been named the Jeffrey S. Boyce Research Chair in Natural Gas (NG) as a Transportation Fuel.
