Volunteer roles range from governance and advisory capacities to those who offer a few hours of their own time to assist with on-campus special events or varsity sports.

UOIT Board of Governors announces six new members

The University of Ontario Institute of Technology’s (UOIT) Board of Governors has strengthened its governance with the recent appointment of six new members for three-year terms.

Dr. Atef Mohany, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, has been recognized by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for his paper Fluidelastic Instability Modelling of Loosely Supported Multi-Span U-Tubes in Nuclear Steam Generators.

UOIT grad students take part in Three-Minute Thesis competition

The University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) recently held a Three-Minute Thesis competition (3MT®), which challenges a group of graduate students to present their research and explain its wider impact in three minutes or less to a panel of non-specialist judges. The challenge is to present complex research in an engaging, accessible and compelling way, using only one slide.
