Celebrating the Spirit of Giving: How Philanthropy Fuels Innovation with Purpose at Ontario Tech

In celebration of National Philanthropy Day, Ontario Tech University proudly recognizes the donors, partners and volunteers whose generosity shapes a better future for our students, our communities and our planet.

This vision drives everything we do: advancing ethical innovation in artificial intelligence (AI), leading clean energy research, and creating opportunities that ensure technology serves humanity responsibly.

This year’s National Philanthropy Day video features Gloria Koya, a Nursing student from the Class of 2027. Gloria shares how donor support has allowed her to pursue mental health research and focus on her studies without financial worry. Her story is just one of many examples of how philanthropy empowers students to thrive and to make an impact.
